Over time, women have become minimized and even forgotten in Peruvian history, as well as in other societies around the world. The reasons for this are related to their own situation and epoch. Among its main causes, there is the imposed domination of men towards women, which means that women were confined to dedicate themselves to material and domestic activities. Thousands of years ago, the Andean woman had an important role within her town, in which she was in charge of agriculture. They were known for being textile experts and healers since they had high knowledge of the human body and nature. In the 15th century, women carried out agricultural work, such as sowing, cultivation, harvesting, selection and conservation of seeds, in addition to caring for the animals.
